Measurement Ended as the Markings were Lost
Markings are no longer visible to Vector.
In normal operation this is likely caused by failure of the specimen or the removal of the specimen from the test frame.
Considerations
If Measurement ended unexpectedly and this indicator is active, consider the following causes:
The appearance of the markings changed.
In particular, check if the specimen has changed colour, e.g. due to strain-whitening. A contrasting basecoat may be required.Check that markings have been applied correctly to the specimen.See Specimen Marking for more information. The markings changed dramatically.
Specimens subject to sudden failure, high strains, or discontiuous yeilding may introduce a significant change to the markings. In particular, ensure the specimen is free from grease or dust before marking.See Specimen Marking for more information. An obstruction prevented Vector from measuring all the markings.
Check for Line of sight.See Obstruction for more information.
