The applied ring or filled circle markings exceed the specification of Vector in axial and transverse.

Axial Gauge Length Outside Specification

When using ring or dot markings, the marking exceed the specification of Vector to measure.

Can also be caused if Vector mistakes other objects and features for specimen markings.

Reapply markings within the specified gauge length range.

Check and measure for the desired gauge length. The gauge length is the centre-centre distance between the markings. Remove and reapply if required.
Cover up or move any circular objects on the grips or fixtures such that they are no longer in view of Vector.

Obscure any round holes, locking pins, bolt heads, or highly textured components which can be mistaken for rings, dots, or speckle regions. Where possible and convenient, rotate components that contain these features, or use tape to mask.

Min. gauge length = 25 mm.
Max. gauge length = 180 mm.

Information - U70

For Vector U70
Min. gauge length = 10 mm.
Max. gauge length = 50 mm.

Information - B80 (Axial)

For Vector B80 Axially
Min. gauge length = 7.5 mm.
Max. gauge length = 70 mm.
